"I have had the privilege of working at the most magnificent natural habitats and landscapes of Pakistan, ranging from the rivetingly unique and barren cold/ snow deserts of Pakistan to lush green meadows and high-altitude plains like Deosai the 2nd highest plateau in the world. I started working in Gilgit Baltistan towards the conservation of Snow leopards with the International Snow Leopard Trust / WWF-Pakistan.
My work predominantly revolves around participatory conservation and sustainable use through the active involvement of the community and custodian section of the concerned government department. For the last five years, I have been leading the component of Natural Resource Management (NRM) working directly with the communities towards alternative livelihoods and skill development-based interventions and understands the dynamics between the grassland, nomads with their livestock, and wildlife. Additionally, I have also conceptualized and designed NRM strategy to mitigate the issues related to natural resource management."
