Distinguished Voices
A lineup of distinguished speakers will grace the event, including Ms. Géraldine Mahieu, Director DG ECFIN.B at the European Commission, who brings invaluable insights into economic and financial affairs. Joining her is Mr. Raffaele Cattaneo, Undersecretary for International and European Relations in the Lombardy Region, and Mr. Aitor Zulueta, CEA Centro de Estudios Ambientales Director, who hails from Vitoria-Gasteiz in the Basque Country. Additionally, we will have the privilege of hearing from Mr. Simon Moulines, Mission Director at the Occitanie region, and Mr. Juan Terradez Mas, Director of the Pyrenean Climate Change Observatory, both participating online.
Core objectives
The central focus of this roundtable discussion is to shed light on the hurdles and opportunities in the pursuit of effective transborder cooperation for climate adaptation. It’s an occasion to explore the challenges, gaps, and barriers that regions often encounter, but also to celebrate and share successful strategies and enablers that can inspire progress.
